Privacy Policy

Please take time to read these as they form the basis of your contract with Dalton Removals.


  • For our removal service, all of your items will be placed securely into our vans on a room to room basis. The items will be secured and strapped in as to ensure they are not damaged or broken during the move. The items will be unloaded into your new property into specified rooms at your request. All of the covered furniture and items will be uncovered at the new property, with the men taking away any excess covers or materials no longer needed after the move.
  • Once your removal has been booked with us, an advance payment of 250.00 (Two Hundred and Fifty Pounds) is required 5 working days prior to the move taking place. Credit/debit card & bank transfer payments must be received at least 72 hours before the move taking place for pre authorisation purposes. Payment is required before unloading of the effects and is to be paid to the driver (unless previously agreed). We accept cash only unless agreed otherwise. Please note that our charges only start when the men first arrive at the pick up address and finish when the men have unloaded your items into the drop off address.
  • Any job that requires the van to drive through the congestion zone will incur an additional charge of 8 on top of the total price of the job. This is also to be paid on completion of the job to the driver.
  • Job arrival times are estimated. Although we always do our best to be on time, circumstances out of our control may cause some delays.
  • Please note that parking is responsibility of the customer. If no other arrangements are made and the van is to receive any infringements whilst on the job, the customer is liable to pay for this. Payment must be received in full on completion of the job and is to be paid to the driver.
  • The drivers and porters are not responsible if any item does not go into the property due to size, shape or any other factor which may affect the item to be put into the property.
  • We have a 'Goods in Transit' Insurance policy with which your goods are covered for up to 5,000 (if would like cover for a higher value then we can arrange it for an extra fee). If any item does break there is an excess fee of 200.00 (Two Hundred Pounds) is payable. It is the customer's responsibility to arrange extra insurance cover if required prior to the moving date. Extra insurance can be arranged through our sales office.
  • If no other agreements are made, Dalton Movers accepts no responsibility for damages or loss of property after the job is completed and payment is received by the driver.
